I had zero plans of coming home for Christmas. I literally didn’t and still don’t have enough money for a return ticket to and from the States. That’s even with me always finding the cheapest tickets that I can! So I told my family through out the fall that unfortunately I can’t visit. It was going to me my first Christmas away from home and I was ok with that. My plan was to just spend my Christmas in Africa but I guess God had other plans... On November 23rd as I was on a 32 hour bus ride from one African country to the next, I got a phone call from my 15 year old sister Emily. She proceeded to tell me that her and 3 of my other sisters got together to pay for my ticket home and suggest that I could use my flight miles to get a ticket out! Wow I couldn’t believe that they would be willing to give that much money just to see me!!! And oh they were the only ones who knew because they wanted to surprise the rest of the family! After weeks of figuring out which country I could fly out of to get back I booked a ticket just a week before my flight out of Ivory Coast to the USA. The faces of surprise when I came running in was priceless, my mom and siblings were just sooo shocked!!! I’ve said this before but really the only main thing I miss about the States is my family! They are one of the hardest parts of traveling. I especially miss getting to see my 3 baby sisters grow up, it’s like each time I come home they are so much older! Wow I just wanted to say a HUGE thanks to my 4 sisters who brought me back for this short visit!!! I already have my flight booked out but I’m just so grateful to God for working this all out! 😁 😊 MERRY CHRISTMAS!
