Ahh God is so good!!!!!!!!!! Sort of a long post but I feel like I should share... This journey I’m on around the world is amazing but sometimes I get kinda annoyed with things like expensive flights or lack of contacts for a country. Over the past two weeks I’ve spent probably 12 hours searching the web for every flight option I had to get to and from Belarus and everything was way over my budget. Let’s just say that yesterday I woke up and was really not sure what I should do about going to Belarus since the price was high and I don’t have any contacts there yet. I was in Sri Lanka and after spending some time this morning looking for flight options I kinda gave up and told myself I’d just wouldn’t to go to Belarus but God had other plans. In the morning I went to a prayer meeting and while there I was praying for wisdom and peace about wether to go or not. After praying there was 4 things that really really really blessed me...
1. My host family prepared this amazing traditional lunch which was so so so yummy, I often don’t eat big portions of food as I travel because of cost but here was an incredible local lunch that I didn’t even have to pay for.
2. One of the pastors I served with invited me to his place for dinner! On the way we stopped to pray for some people that attend the church. There was a lady who owned a uniform business who we prayed for and she heard about my trip around the world and insisted on giving me some local currency to pay for my bus to the airport! Like whoah I was blown away by her act of kindness to me!
3. The pastors family prepared a delicious dinner to say goodbye to me as I juts left today. It was super super good and we had a sweet time of fellowship. We even had ice cream and jello for dessert! It just really blessed me that they wanted to have me to their house for a huge dinner before I left.
4. This one might be the simplest out of the 4 things but the pastors kids made a very special little homemade gift for me with a very kind message! When I was given simple gift to be honest I felt really blessed and cared for. Just to know that I literally have older and younger brothers and sisters in so many countries that truly treat me as their own family is really really overwhelming. So yeah this little gift really meant a lot to me.
When I got back to my room for the night and looked back on just those 4 things alone I realize that worrying about going over budget a little bit is soooo sooo pointless! On this journey God has provided over and over and over and over again! Actually in that little gift I got from the kids there is a bookmark that says: “The Lord will be with you... do not fear nor be dismayed” like whoah 😭 that hit me hard. God is with me and I have literally no reason to worry so I stepped out in faith and book my kinda expensive trip to Belarus for early next week with not even 1 contact for the country yet! I’m not concerned about it like I was yesterday morning I’m just trusting that God will guide me and provide away for my time in the country of Belarus. So yeah yesterday I was really reminded that I just need to keep on serving God on this journey and leave the details to Him. I can plan my trip in way I think is best but time and time again God changes those plans and shows me His way! Ah it’s so comforting to be in the will of God. I’m learning to let go my worries one day at a time and lean fully on Jesus! He is soooooo WORTHY! I’m at peace and that’s all... so peace out Fam
